Welcome to The Garden Knowledge And Virtue

Assalamualaikum,

Someone who introduced herself as my junior was emailed me yesterday asking about my course. She got an offer from IIUM under the course Human Sciences.

Let me explain a little bit my course...

In IIUM, Human Sciences is under the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge & Human Sciences

Human Sciences which also known as social sciences at other universities is a course that related to Psychology, Sociology, Mass Communication, Political Sciences, and History.

Human Sciences is a reading courses, there is no calculation subject. So, for those who are love reading and hate Mathematic, I’m sure you will in love with this course. If you ask me how difficult this subject is, I have no answer for it. For me, I believe there is no easy course in this world; your work hard determine your efforts. The most important, you need to recognize what is your interest. When you have the interest, you can deal with the hardship.

For those who registered as student of CFS IIUM (matriculation IIUM), you will learn the introduction subjects like Intro to Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Intro to History, Intro to Political Sciences, and Into to Communication. So, it means that you are not able to declare your major or specialization at matriculation.

After graduated from CFS IIUM, you will further your studies at IIUM campus Gombak. In your first year studies, you will again have to take all the Introduction subjects which the syllabus is more advance from CFS IIUM. Please pay attention and take note my further explanation. Before you enter IIUM campus Gombak, it is good if you can decide which courses you want to major in, so you can choose or register the course that is give more priority for you. For example, you would like to major in Political Sciences, so, you should take the introduction to Political Sciences subject on your first year, first semester at Gombak. It is because the Introduction to Political Sciences is the prerequisite subject that enables you to declare you’re major. So, the next semester you are able to take major course subjects and specialization course subjects. You are not allowed to register the major or specialization subjects if you are not declare you’re major.
